Arpaio claims he is just being tough on illegal immigration, but some consider it being a dirty, bigot, racist politician. Oddly, Arpaio welcomed all this attention and embraced it.

He became known as “Aemrica’s Toughest Sheriff,” for his crack down on illegal immigration, in ways that have been ruled as illegal and unconstitutional. He continues to receive harsh criticism for his constant breaking of the law and ignoring the constitutional rights of those in the hispanic community of Arizona.

Eventually the law caught up to Sheriff Joe Arpaio. and it appeared that he was going to be held accountable for violating constitutional rights of hispanic. He endured a civil trial, which mainly debated whether it was legal for the sheriff’s office to use racial profiling as a way to identify and arrest certain residents of Arizona. Arpaio said the method was effective and detered illegal immigration in the United States. Arpaio said he would do his best to use this tool as a way to detain illegal immigrants in his state. This attitude and practice caused Arizona residents to live in fear.

A federal judge ordered Arpaio to no longer rely on racial profiling as a way to arrest someone allegedly to be an undocumented immigrant. In the blink of an eye, Sheriff Arpaio fired back by saying he would not follow this judicial order because he said it did not properly explain how to properly do his job.

This decision landed him back in front of another federal judge. Sheriff Joe Arpaio explained to the judge that he believed the order was preventing him from doing the job he was elected to do. The judge was not buying the argument and eventually sentenced him to jail.

However, just weeks later President Trump announced that he would be pardoning Sheriff Joe Arpaio. This means that Sheriff Joe Arpaio would not serve a single day in prison for his crimes. However, there are some who are fighting back against this decision, including two journalists, Jim Larkin and Michael Lacey. They are strong supporters of the Latino community.

These two men are journalists and have been following some of the most serious crimes committed by Sheriff Joe Arpaio. As soon as they got close to the truth, they faced persecution by Arpaio.

Larkin and Lacey filed a civil suit against Maricopa County and eventually won. In support of the Latinos, they launched the Frontera Fund, which was started to help defend Latino rights. Larkin and Lacey have stepped up their fight.

Their latest dustup with Sheriff Joe Arpaio shows that more work needs to be completed by those who understand that immigrants are not the enemy. Larkin and Lacey continue the fight they started and have begun getting followers who actually listen to their message.
